We had a wonderful vacation in Bali and Diana and are finally getting settled back into our routine here. Diana really enjoyed being able to swim and play in the sand nearly every day, and especially loved the oversized chess set that was right next to the resort restaurant. She gave the knights hugs on daily basis. She also made friends with a cement frog outside the lobby, so we had to stop for a visit every time we left the hotel.
We had fun shopping and eating out in Sanur (a more residential coastal town), and were able to give Diana tastes of lots of new foods including lobster, shrimp, wood-fired pizza, and more cashews than her stomach could handle.
We’re happy to be back in cooler weather in Tembagapura, although it has meant that Diana had to adjust to not being held all of the time. She’s coping alright now after a week and a half, but the first few days were a bit of a rude awakening for her! We went to a party today where she got to play with a bunch of “big kid” toys, and really loved the doll house – she even helped the dolls go up and down the stairs and play their little piano. -ed.
